Does this work with my existing solar battery or Tesla Powerwall?
Yes! If you already have solar battery storage or a Tesla Powerwall, our system integrates perfectly. While those systems take a moment to kick in and power your fridge and lights, our dedicated UPS ensures your sensitive networking gear never loses power for even a split second during the switch-over.
How long does the backup last?
It focuses on keeping the critical “brain” of your home alive (your Hub, Router, and Cameras). Our standard solutions typically keep these running for around 1-2 hours, plenty of time for most standard power cuts to be resolved.
How does the internet backup actually work?
It’s completely automatic. We install a secondary 4G/5G or satellite router. If your main fibre line goes dead, our system detects it instantly and switches your home network over to the backup. You likely won’t even notice it’s happened.
Do I need a massive generator or huge batteries for this?
Not at all. Because we are backing up your core smart systems rather than the entire house, the UPS unit is surprisingly compact. It sits neatly in your comms cabinet or utility cupboard, silently waiting to save the day.
