E01. I’m an electrician interested in smart home projects, can you tell me more about how we can work together?

E02. What do I actually need to install on-site?

You handle the professional electrical infrastructure and standard physical wiring; we supply the pre-configured hardware and take care of the rest.

Instead of dealing with consumer-grade smart plugs or struggling to configure multiple disjointed manufacturer apps, you will be installing professional, robust smart components designed for local control. Your role is purely traditional electrical installation: mounting the modules, running standard cables, and ensuring everything is powered correctly.

Once the hardware is physically in place, our team takes over remotely to map everything into our unified SH-PRO platform. You don’t have to write a single line of code or touch a software configuration panel.

E03. Do you have a cable specification or wiring guide I can follow?

E04. Who defines our rates when we work together?

You will always provide a quote for each project according to your rate.

At the start, after understanding what the customer needs, you’ll provide your quote. We’ll give our quote for services, and then either combine both quotes or share them separately with the customer. See more about quotes and invoices in the next question.

Once we have agreed on the details with the customer and confirmed availability with both you and our team, we will start the project.

E05. How will we quote and invoice the customer?

The quoting process depends on the project. Before we begin, we’ll discuss your preference:

Combined Quote: We can work together to create a single quote that includes both our service and your installation fees. This simplifies things for the customer.
Separate Quotes: We can each provide the customer with our own separate quotes. This might be preferred if your pricing structure is complex.

Whichever option you choose, we’ll handle generating the invoice(s) after the project is complete, following the same approach we agreed on for the quote.

Overall, we’re flexible! We’ll discuss your preferences upfront to ensure a smooth quoting and invoicing process.

E06. How does the partner commission scheme work?

We offer a highly competitive partner reward and commission scheme for our installation partners. We will provide full details of our commission structures and project rates during our initial onboarding call.

E07. I would like to offer your smart home services to my customers, how much does this cost for them?

We understand you’d like to provide your customers with the latest smart home technology! Here at The Real Smart Home, we partner with qualified electricians like yourself to install these systems. The cost for your customers depends on the devices and features they choose, but we offer clear pricing so everyone knows what to expect.

After you finish the installation and confirm everything works, we’ll take over. Our team can fix most issues remotely, so there’s less hassle for the customer. In the rare case that an issue requires a follow-up visit, we’ll contact you to check your availability and discuss any associated costs upfront.
